My Peer Bullying Story

This is an issue I face everyday. Ok, there is this huuuggggeee group of kids we call Them. And we where talking at our lunch table,my friends Kaya,Maddy,Takeia,Simon,Kayleah, and I where talking about religion. And so one of Them starts bashing me an my friends for what we belive. And what do I do? Start yelling at him. And he starts yelling at me about religion. Just mind you I believe in God and Jesus even though I'm lesbian. And suddenly me and my big  fat mouth had to go and mention me and Simon where gay. And started yelling about how it's against the bible and how I am going to hell. As if I didn't already know. At this point this kid and his friends are berating me and only me. And I just break down and start crying my eyes out and I heard a commotion so I look up and Simin is chocking this kid. And he was suspended but he did that to protect me. I didn't want him to nor did I think that the suspension was wrong. I mean The kid and his part of Them don't bother me anymore but I can no longer make eye contact with any of them. It scared me.

Coming Out Part 3: Coming Out to Peers

This is probably the last part of the coming out series. Peers are hard. So my first suggestion is to tell friends that aren't to close. Like for example: after I came out to my close friends and mom I came out to my friend Mary. Then after you tell friends rumors will probably start spreading. People will come up and ask you if you're in fact  LGBT. You usually want to confirm the rumors. And soon everyone will know. Mostly you will get positive feedback....but there are the people who will try to push you down. Don't pay attention to them. You are awesome. Just be yourself.

Coming out Part 2: Coming out to Family

This is hard. But it will be okay. A lot of family's accept....but some don't. For the people whose family don't accept, or even kick you out, find a friends house. Stay there for a few days let things die down. It will get better. For people's family who do accept. Awesome! But here's the part that I myself found hard. Actually deciding how to come out. I myself wrote a letter to my mom. You can do that or you can just tell them or you can come up with a different creative way. But no matter what you are amazing and beautiful.

Coming Out Part 1: Coming Out to Friends.

What is one of the hardest parts about being LGBT? Telling people. People like Parents,Friends,Or Peers. So who do I come out to first? Well from my personal experience I would pick a few, very close friends. And once they know and support you and you feel ok come out to more and more friends. Most of them will support you. Some won't. I would kinda slowly push them out of your lives. You don't need that negativity. I hope this helped. Bye!
